Besides research projects, the institute continuously implements projects in collaboration with businesses and public bodies, in order to put theoretical findings into practice. These activities are supported by an advisory committee comprising representatives from 20 companies.

The institute offers partnerships in the form of:

• subsidised R&D projects
• contract R&D, advice and economic projects
• student projects, bachelor papers and dissertations
• student employment at companies during their internship, and
• cooperation with teaching staff
